Cognitive development among students



Cognitive development means to develop the student’s knowledge through different experiences. It can be social, emotional, psychological and philosophical development. Knowledge may be formal, non-formal or informal. Social cognitive development can be developed through imitation/ actions or styles or acts. Students learn by observing others behavior.
The social development consists of four strategies
 Attention
The development of knowledge occurs by exposing or observing models.
Retention
Students learn by observing symbols.
Reproduction
Students produce internal models by observing behaviors, models, and symbols etc.
Motivation
Performance occurs by attention, retention, activation, encouragement, confidence and satisfaction.
Example: Showing models, projects, presentations, flash cards, role play and films etc.
